Englewood Hospital Ranked Nationally for Clinical Excellence Top 10% in the Nation for
Patient Safety in Stroke Care #3 in New Jersey for Cardiac Care  

Englewood, New Jersey, December 15, 2010 – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (englewoodhospital.com) has been recognized once again for its delivery of outstanding medical care, earning both state and national recognition in the CareChex® 2011 release of America’s Top Quality Hospitals. The Medical Center achieved a top 10% in the nation designation for patient safety in stroke care and is ranked #3 in the state of New Jersey for medical excellence in cardiac care.

Englewood Hospital was awarded the highest quality rating in the cardiac care clinical category for the state of New Jersey. This includes recognition for medical excellence in treating medical conditions such as heart attack, heart failure, chest pain, and atherosclerosis and non-major surgeries such as angioplasty, stents, and pacemaker implants performed in the inpatient setting. In addition, the Medical Center was ranked in the top 10% nationwide and top 10% statewide for patient safety in stroke care. The stroke care category includes medical conditions such as stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, and transient ischemia.
